The programme is designed to equip students, as specialists in leadership and organisational psychology and future leaders, with the necessary skills to responsibly navigate increasing societal complexities and support organisations in addressing these complexities. Graduates from our programme actively contribute to and lead individual, team, and organisational development in line with the most recent scientific advancements in the field, technological progress, and strategic and sustainability goals within organisations.

Students in our programme can customise their learning path around highly sought-after skills in the current job market. They can focus on developing advanced skills related to new technologies and people analytics, as well as advanced skills in foundational areas of workplace psychology. With an advanced and differentiated skillset, our graduates begin their careers in talent acquisition, training and development, change management, HR analytics, and consulting, to name a few key employment areas, and help grow responsible leadership in high-profile organisations.

Learning outcome - Knowledge

The candidate:

  • Has advanced knowledge of theories and research in organisational psychology and leadership.
  • Can explain how individual, group, and organisational factors influence organisational performance, problem solving, employee well-being, and decision making, to mention a few central organisational psychology topics.
  • Is able to analyse leadership and organisational challenges using current theory and research.
  • Can critically use the central research methods and psychometric tools within leadership and organisational psychology.

The candidate:

  • Can apply the psychological theories, research, methods, and tools to support organisations (such as job analysis, employee recruitment and selection, employee satisfaction and retention, diversity, equity, and inclusion, well-being enhancement, leadership development, motivation, decision-making, strategic thinking, creativity, and teamwork).
  • Has the ability to critically assess practices and methods within leadership and organisational psychology.
  • Can apply scientific methods to analyse and solve problems of practical impact at the individual, team, and organisational levels.
  • Can design and carry out research and development projects for organisations.
  • Can understand and use technology to solve individual, team, and organisational problems.
  • Can communicate and present analysis effectively.
  • Can work successfully in diverse groups.

The candidate:

  • Can demonstrate an ability to critically evaluate and challenge current practices in the area of leadership and organisational psychology.
