KLS 3402 Sustainable Event Management
This is a practically oriented course where students can train to manage an event that is as sustainable as possible. Festivals and events are important arenas for creative industry. In this course students take part in planning and carrying out an event. During the course, students will plan, carry out and evaluate an event. Students will be recruited into groups with specific responsibility for different parts of the event.
During the course, students will acquire knowledge about the journey from an event idea to planning, carrying out and evaluating the event. Students will acquire knowledge about the organizational, economic and marketing aspects of event management.
During the course, students will develop skills in planning and carrying out an event. They will also choose a specialization where they acquire special skills in working in groups.
During the course, students will develop understanding for the meaning of the sustainability of events. They will develop their capacity to understand their role in larger and smaller groups. In addition, they will develop a reflective relationship to different aspects of collaboration, both internally in groups of students and in their contact with businesses.

The case is carried out with the help of lectures, guest lectures and groupwork. This is a practically oriented course where students plan, carry out and evaluate an event. Students work in groups with specific responsibility for different parts of the event.
