Introduction

The summer international internship is an opportunity to work at a company, university or organisation abroad over a period. The internship participant is selected to work at a specific company, university or organisation based on both what they are seeking and based on what your interests are. The position should be advertised by the company as an internship. The internship will give you valuable insights in real-world challenges in an international perspective, and should help you in putting your academic learning in perspective. No ECTS credits are awarded by BI as a result of the undertaking.

  • Knowledge of key practical dilemmas of the everyday work in the company, university or organisation
  • Knowledge of the formal management systems in the company, university or organisation

Learning process and requirements to students

The summer international internship should preferably be full-time over a period, but part-time position may also be considered to be relevant. A completed and approved internship will give 0 ECTS credits.
Students must attend work as agreed upon with the company, university or organisation they obtain an internship placement with.

The internship work can be paid or unpaid.

Qualifications

All courses in the Masters programme will assume that students have fulfilled the admission requirements for the programme. In addition, courses in second, third and/or fourth semester can have spesific prerequisites and will assume that students have followed normal study progression. For double degree and exchange students, please note that equivalent courses are accepted.
