Introduction

    Objective
    The scope of this course is to provide an overview of the most important laws and regulations relating to economics and to business and company activities. Particular emphasis is placed on legislation that is essential in relation to employees and company decision making, protection of minority shareholders, management and liability, partnership agreements and management.

    1. Sources of law and legal method
    2. Contractual liability law
    3. Labour law
    4. Company law
    5. Economic liability law
    6. Mortgage law
    7. Penal law related to economic crimes.

    Computer-based tools are used for communication and distribution of texts etc.

    Course structure
    The course is placed in the third year and based on a total of 36 hours of lectures. Students are required to purchase and bring with them the required study aids to the lectures and to acquaint themselves with these through the study of various topics. In particular, knowledge relating to legal rules dealt with in the textbooks or discussed in lectures is required. Teaching through lectures requires that students prepare for these in advance. The lectures will focus on themes that are known to cause problems. Parts of the syllabus will have to be studied independently.


    Examination
    A three-hour individual written examination concludes the course.

    Re-sit examination
    Due to changes in our Bachelor Programmes from autumn 2009, there also will be changes in every single course. This course was lectured for the last time spring 2011. Re-sit exam will be offered every term even spring 2013.
