Introduction

From 2018/2019, this course (GRA 2262) will change course name to  "BI Internship on Exchange".

The international internship is an opportunity to combine a full time or part time internship at an international company with studying one semester abroad at one of BI’s partner schools. As a participant in the international internship programme, you have been selected to work at a specific company based on both what the company is seeking and based on what your interests are. The internship will give you valuable insights in real-world challenges in an international perspective, and should help you in putting your academic learning in perspective.

Learning outcomes - Knowledge

The student shall demonstrate the following competencies after the internship:

Course content

Students will work in a selected company and the tasks are assigned by each company. By the end of the internship the student will write a paper related to the internship. Each student is entitled to a maximum of three hours supervision on the termpaper.

Learning process and requirements to students

The student will work 240-300 hours at an international company during one semester, which can be completed either part time or full time. A completed and approved internship will give 12 ECTS credits, once a term paper has been delivered and passed. Students must write their term paper individually.

Students must attend work as agreed upon with the company they are assigned to. The student must write a term paper towards the end of the internship.

The internship is unpaid.

Qualifications

All courses in the Masters programme will assume that students have fulfilled the admission requirements for the programme. In addition, courses in second, third and/or fourth semester can have spesific prerequisites and will assume that students have followed normal study progression. For double degree and exchange students, please note that equivalent courses are accepted.
