The aim of the course is to provide students with a formal understanding of the statistical concepts and tools of relevance in business and managerial economics.
A solid knowledge of basic statistics.
The skills necessary for the adequate application of basic statistical procedures.
The ability to critically reflect on and evaluate others use of statistical methods.
1. Key Concepts and Basic Statistics:

- Descriptive statistics
- Introduction to probability models
- Hypothesis Testing
- P-Values
- Interval Estimation
2. Regression Analysis:
- Bivariate correlation analysis
- Two-variable regression analysis
- Estimation
- Hypothesis testing
15 hours with lectures and 5 hours in the computer-lab

All courses in the Masters programme will assume that students have fulfilled the admission requirements for the programme. In addition, courses in second, third and/or fourth semester can have specific prerequisites and will assume that students have followed normal study progression. For double degree and exchange students, please note that equivalent courses are accepted.
