Introduction
This course is based on knowledge adapted from Motor Insurance and Motor Insurance Claims Handling A. The course is the last course for claims handlers wanting to achieve an authorization in Motor Insurance, and the topics examined thoroughly are of special importance.
Learning outcome
Acquired knowledge
After this course the students will have obtained a thorough knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Liability Act and other relevant rules and regulations concerning motor vehicle insurance, and will be able to account for practical claims handling by the rules and regulation regarding accidents and damages where motor vehicles is involved. They will obtain a thorough understanding regarding deprivation and recourse. The students will also obtain basic skills regarding the principles of claims for damages for personal injury, especially the first phase.
Acquired skills
At the end of this course, the students will be able to solve most practical issues that may come into being in claims handling topics regarding damage done to property and simple personal injury claims in Motor Insurance.
Reflection
During the course, the students should have acquired a conscious attitude to the fact that their professional choices and advices first and foremost are of importance for other people than themselves.
Prerequisites
The courses Introduction to Insurance, Motor Insurance, Motor Insurance Claims Handling A and at least one year work experience at a Claims handling division.
