BIK 2922 Security Management 2 Responsible for the course Jon Lereim Department Department of Leadership and Organizational Behaviour Term According to study plan ECTS Credits 7,5 Language of instruction Norwegian Introduction The speciality program on Security Management consists of three independent courses, although building upon each other in sequence (SL1 prior to SL2 and S2 prior to SL3). When the exams are passed in all three courses, the program is approved to give 30 study points in the degree Bachelor of Management. The following courses are included in the program:
Learning outcome Security Management 2 is building on Security Management 1. During Security Management 2, the participants will achieve an in depth understanding and skills in security related scientific disciplines with particular focus on technical topics connected to security management. Oslo: Statistisk Sentralbyrå Course outline Security planning Personnel security Physical security Electronic security Information security Guard and guard planning Security training Security audits Industry protection and preventive efforts IT- security management Computer-based tools itslearning Learning process and workload The course is designed with 2 plenary modules, each of 3 days' duration. In tota,l the effort is 48 lectures including group work and plenary discussions. In addition, the students are expected to perform self study and extensive work with the scientific assignment with particular focus on cases related to his/her own job and organization. Lecturers are specialists and advisors from Norwegian Security Association and BI Norwegian Business School. Guest lecturers will also be introduced. In addition, study visits to various organizations are included in the program. The pedagogic learning profile is to a large extent the so called action based learning, in which interactive discussions and sharing experience are key elements. Examination The course will be completed by a 3 hour individual exam. Examination code(s) BIK 29221 written individual exam counts 100% for passing the course BIK 2922, 7,5 credits.
