Introduction
The project is an integral part of the Executive MBA curriculum. Programmed during the semesters 2 and 3, the project is intended to allow participants to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the EMBA in a real-life business situation. It is a group project with 3-5 group members.

Learning outcome
The subject should be provided by the employer of one member of the group and must be approved by the Associate Dean of the Executive MBA at BI or Nanyang Business School. The project is supervised by a member of the BI or Nanyang faculty (advisor), whose role is to evaluate the academic aspects. Preferably a company representative should also be appointed in order to ensure that the project is being led according to the company’s objectives and guidelines.
Acquired knowledge and skills:
Participants should acquire the ability to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the EMBA to a real-life business situation. The project is an integral part of the EMBA.
Reflection:
Participants should reflect in the project report on how to organise a professional consultancy projcect and how to present such a project to the client

Prerequisites
Acceptance to the EMBA Shipping, Offshore and Finance programme.

Learning process and workload


    Examination
    The participants are evaluated through the team report and an oral presentation in front of a jury (Faculty advisor and BI or Nanyang Business School Associate Dean).

    GRA 80961 - Process evaluation; counts for 100 % to pass the program GRA 8096, 18 credits

    The course is a part of a full Executive MBA and all evaluations must be passed to obtain a certificate for the degree.


    Examination support materials


    Re-sit examination
    Re-takes are only possible at the next time a course will be held. When course evaluation consists of class participation or process elements, the whole course must me re-evaluated when a student wants to retake a exam. Retake examinations entail an extra examination fee.

    Additional information
    For administrative reasons the students are registered at the program code GRA 8097 in the first semester. In the second semester they are registered at the program code GRA 8098 .
