Introduction

A 2-day workshop designed for first year students. This introductory bootcamp is designed to provide you with an industry perspective before you start your master studies in finance. It will give you an overview of the financial industry and its purpose. It will also expose you to key roles through simulated games in which, through role playing, you need to make decisions in a realistic environment. The same simulation technology is delivered to the world’s largest financial firms. You will rotate through roles asset and investment management, market making, and sales trading.

  • Understand the objective of different financial roles and what skills and behaviour are needed to perform well in each.
  • Develop your understanding of today’s international financial markets and what makes them move.

Qualifications

All courses in the Masters programme will assume that students have fulfilled the admission requirements for the programme. In addition, courses in second, third and/or fourth semester can have specific prerequisites and will assume that students have followed normal study progression.
