EXC 3652 Port Management
The purpose of this course is to provide an understanding of various port management aspects as well as transportation modes used in international transports, with an emphasis on multimodal and intermodal transport operations. It provides a broader framework around shipping management, and helps to relate sea transportation to other transport modes. An important aspect is also the understanding of the port as a multimodal link in the supply chains.

Students are expected to actively participate through discussions and exercises. In addition, 1-2 of the 15 lectures will be in the form of field visits/excursions.

Two years of college education in economics and business administration, marketing or equivalent is required for taking the course.
