Introduction
This course will, in combination with BTH 1704 Bachelor in Logistic Leadership and Supply Chain Management (15 study points) provide specialization in the subject to the value of 30 credits. This course is suitable for students at Bachelor level in marketing, economics and administration. Other students can participate in the third year of the course.
Specialization provides students with leadership orientated knowledge as well as an understanding of the developments and leadership issues in supply chains and internal business logistics. Students will learn the physical and administrative processes surrounding the acquisition, handling, storage, planning, production, transportation and delivery of goods and services in a way which fulfills the customers need for service in a cost effective manner.

Acquired Knowledge
After completed course students should have:
- Acquired basic knowledge about procurement and its significance for the business as a whole
- Acquired knowledge of transportation finance and the significance of different transportation methods to the customer
- Learned to calculate and optimize costs connected with , transportation and production
- Developed an understanding of how different logistical solutions affect the delivery process.
- Acquired an understanding of how the integration of supply chains will reduce costs.

After completed course students should be able to.
- Make the right decisions to make a good purchase
- Analyse the transportation costs and know what transport should cost
- Anticipate and make production plans.

Prerequisites
The course requires 2 years university college education in economics, administration and marketing or the equivalent. As a minimum the basic course in statistics MET 3431 Statistics or MET 2920 Statistics.

In course delivery as online courses or evening classes, will lecturer, in collaboration with the Academic Services Network and evening studies, organize an appropriate combination of digital and class room teaching. Examination
A five hours individual examiniation concludes the course.
