Endringer i våre omgivelser som globalisering, teknologiutvikling, fokus på bærekraft, automatisering av arbeidsplasser, samt veksten i antall kunnskaps- og servicemedarbeidere er faktorer i som påvirker utviklingen av virksomheter, dette får også konsekvenser for HR arbeidet.
I dette programmet setter vi fokus på hva HR er, sentrale HR aktiviteter og hvordan ulike tilnærminger til HR praksis setter sitt preg på ansatte i virksomheter. Vi vi se på hva som fremmer og hemmer utvikling, endring, god ledelse, god rekruttering, kompetanseutvikling, klima i organisasjoner og de ansattes motivasjon. Perspektiver vi ønsker å belyse er hard versus myk HR og hvordan respektive systemer og tilnærminger bidrar til prestasjoner i organisasjoner.
This program aims at giving students an overview of the most important theories within the area of human resource management.
This program aims at increasing the students' interest for work in the field of Human Resources.
This program should provide an increased understanding of the importance of human capital in contemporary organizations.
The program should teach typical HR skills relevant for recruitment, learning/development, and for health, environment and safety issues.
Programmet skal gi studentene grunnleggende ferdigheter:
- til å kunne foreta enkle analyser og vurdere effekter av ulike HR systemer og tiltak
- til å bidra i rekruttering, læring/opplæring og HMS arbeid.
- til å tilrettelegge for endring og utvikling i egen organisasjon.
- for utøvelse av god ledelese.
Programmet har til hensikt å:
- øke studentenes interesse og forståelse for arbeid innen HR feltet.
- bidra til å øke studentenes etiske og samfunnsmessige refleksjoner.
- utvikle holdninger som fremmer sunne, inkluderende og utviklende arbeidsmiljøer.
- bidra til respekt for kunnskap, vitenskapelige og organisatoriske verdier, slik at de lærer etterrettelighet og redelighet i forskning og faglige fremstillinger.
The subject areas and lectures are organized in the following five parts: The first part is Strategic Human Resource Management, the second is Competence and Performance, the third is Social Dynamics and Relations, the fourth is Change and Restructuring and the fifth deals with the Leadership Role and its importance in implementing knowledge in human resource management.

The course is based on classroom activities including lectures, group work, group presentations, as well as supervision related to theterm paper.
At the beginning of the program each student has to choose a topic for his/her term paper. This can be based on a problem in his/her own organization or on an in-depth study of a theoretical problem. As part of the teaching, students have to hand in a 5 page thesis outline, including research problem and prosedure for data collection.
The term paper may be written indiviually or in groups of up to three students. The written examination will be based on all the subject areas included in the program.
In all BI Executive courses and programs, there is a mutual requirement for the student and the course responsible regarding the involvement of the student's experience in the planning and implementation of courses, modules and programmes. This means that the student has the right and duty to get involved with their own knowledge and practice relevance, through the active sharing of their relevant experience and knowledge.
